Manchester United draw Wigan Athletic in The Emirates FA Cup fourth round
Manchester United have drawn Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup fourth round. This was made know today Monday the 9th of January 2017, United were able to move to this stage after United strolled through to the fourth round with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Championship side Reading on Saturday, which also saw Rooney equaling goal scoring history of Bob Charlton.
Joyce spent eight years at United and six of them as permanent Reserves manager, a period which featured three titles in four years.
Former United players Reece James and Nick Powell are currently at Wigan, while the prodigious Ravel Morrison has recently been training with Joyce’s squad. Andy Kellett, who spent four months on loan with United Under-21s two years ago, is also at Wigan.
The match is also significant as it will see the return of former United reserves coach Warren Joyce to Old Trafford.
Due to their EFL Cup semi-final second leg being played on Thursday January 26, United will have to play their fourth round Cup tie on Sunday January 29, since they face Hull again in the Premier League on Wednesday February 1.
