Real Madrid Striker Linked With Chelsea Move as Fiancée Begins House Hunting in London

The fiancee of Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata has fuelled speculation that the player could leave Real Madrid for Chelsea this summer by beginning a house hunt in London, according to Spanish website Ok Diario, via The Sun.

Morata has failed to earn himself a regular first team place with Los Blancos since rejoining the club from Juventus, and is believed to have already told close friends that he expects to move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. Partner Alice Campello has now been spotted in London attempting to find the pair a place to live ahead of the move.

Chelsea are believed to be in the market for a new striker this summer as speculation remains over the happiness of current forward Diego Costa. Regardless of whether Costa stays or not, it’s expected that manager Antonio Conte will look to strengthen his forward line anyway, with Michy Batshuayi failing to make an impression for the Premier League leaders.

The Blues are also believed to be in the hunt for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku – who has turned down a new contract at Goodison Park – though Chelsea chiefs fear that the player may be too expensive for their liking. Morata certainly represents a cheaper option, as Lukaku is valued at around £70m.

Campello, who is a model and fashion designer, is thought to be keen on the move too as the hunt for a London condo begins. No official word has come from either Real Madrid, Chelsea, or the player’s representatives just yet over Morata’s future, though the move could continue to gather speed over the coming months.

Arsenal have also been linked with Morata in the past, but he is believed to prefer a switch to the Bridge.
