Wilfried Zaha could make a return for Crystal Palace against Chelsea.
Hodgson has revealed that Zaha has made faster than expected progress from his injury and has been training with his team-mates this week. The forward is unlikely to start Saturday’s match at Stamford Bridge, but according to manager, could play a role.
“He has had a ball at his feet for a while and been training solo, with the physios ‘He was able to join in with the team today in a modified session, which is enormous progress. ‘We are very happy his progress has been as fast as it has been, but we have to be careful as it was a serious injury,” Hodgson said.
The news is a huge boost for Crystal Palace who remains in the relegation places after their heartbreaking 2-3 defeat to Manchester United on Monday.
