Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has labeled midfielder Aaron Ramsey as a “much better finisher” after his two-goal contribution in Arsenal’s Europa League win on Thursday.
Ramsey put two past CSKA Moscow as the Gunners took control of their quarter-final tie with a convincing 4-1 victory at the Emirates Stadium. Wenger told reporters in his post-match press conference that he is delighted to see Ramsey returning to the same kind of form that saw him net 16 times in the 2013-14 season.
“For Aaron Ramsey, it’s always the same. If he can have a consistent presence on the side without being stopped, personally I think he has overcome his problems, that he has no injury problem at all anymore,” Wenger said.
Arsenal face Southampton on Sunday before traveling to Moscow for the return leg next Thursday.
