Gary Neville has said that Paul Pogba would be a benchwarmer at Manchester City.
Speaking at a recent interview, the United legend said, “Pogba’s agent was optimistic offering him to Manchester City – a reference to sensational claims by City boss Pep Guardiola that he was at one time offered the chance to sign Pogba and forward Anthony Martial by the duo’s representative Mino Raiola.
The former right-back continued, “Gundogan, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Silva. He’d be fifth choice playing like he is.”
Neville has, however, gone on record to admit that United are “a far better team” with Pogba on it, evidenced by the brace the playmaker scored in their recent comeback 3-2 derby victory over City. The Englishman mantains that the Frenchman should put aside his usual antics like dying his hair and dancing so that he can achieve his full potential at Old Trafford.
