Brighton & Hove Albion beat Manchester United to stay in the Premier League next season on Friday night encounter.

The match which was played at The American Express Community Stadium with total of 30,611 spectators saw

Chris Hughton’s men clinched the feat against a poor Manchester United outfit that struggled to create opportunities in a match decided by Pascal Gross’ second-half goal which enabled them to stay clear from been relegated.

Although at the initial time the ball entered the net, there were some doubt as to whether the ball crossed the line, but thanks to goal-line technology which confirmed the goal that reclaimed Brighton’s top-flight status.

With Brighton & Hove Albion winning united,  it now means that  Man Utd have lost away from home against three newly promoted sides in a league season for the first time in their history, also losing at Huddersfield (1-2 in October) and Newcastle (0-1 in February)

With United lossing to Brighton & Hove Albion,  it has given Manchester City the opportunity to make a good record if they win their encounter on Sunday as the only club to win title with higher points margin.
