Arsenal left-back Ainsley Maitland-Niles has signed a new long-term contract with the club and will wear the No.15 shirt for the 2018/19 season.
The 20-year-old, who has been with the north London club since he was nine years has now committed his future to the Emirates side. The versatile star made 28 appearances for the Gunners last season across the midfield and in defence. He is set to wear jersey No 15 next season rather than No 30 he had when he became second-youngest Champions League debutant in December 2014 at the age of 17.
A Premier League bow four days later followed, before he spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Championship side Ipswich. Maitland-Niles made 30 appearances, scoring twice and winning the Tractor Boys’ Player of the Month award, in his sole season at Portman Road.
New season, new contract, new number.
