Conte to replace Arsene Wenger

Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal should capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding Antonio Conte‘s future and move to appoint the Chelsea manager as Arsene Wenger‘s successor.

The Italian, who masterminded Chelsea’s Premier League title-winning campaign last season, is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer following a number of reported disagreements with the club over their transfer policy.

Wenger, meanwhile, signed a new two-year deal last summer but looks unlikely to secure a top four finish and re-entry to the Champions League, while he has watched on powerless as Alexis Sanchez closes in on a controversial move to Manchester United.

Carragher believes Arsenal are in desperate need of change and believes Conte is the ideal man to shake things up at the Emirates Stadium.
