Martin Keown was embarrassed to watch his former side Arsenal suffer 2-1 defeat in the hands of Ostersunds at Emirates in Europa League.
The Gunners registered 3-0 win in the first leg but in the reverse fixture they survived a scare as the Swedish side scored two quick goals in a span of 70 seconds.
The Arsenal legend admitted that it was embarrassing to see the club’s first half performance. Keown slammed defender Sead Kolasinac despite netting the consolation goal for the home side.
“Kolasinac doesn’t seem the same player as the one who joined, he was an animal but he doesn’t seem hungry now. The goal was coming, not one part of the Arsenal team is functioning, the team is imploding.
I am embarrassed watching as a former player nevermind how Arsene Wenger must feel,” Keown told BT Sport.
“ It’s a big week for Arsenal, they’re not going to win the Europa League with a performance like this,” he added.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger also admitted his side were “complacent” and “not focused” after they fell two goals behind in the first half. Despite the defeat, Wenger’s men advanced to the last 16 of the competition with a 4-2 aggregate victory.
