Guess at this time the farewell crusade of German Evangelist Reinhard Bonnkeneeds no introduction. But should it be coming new to some who perhaps for have not been in town or in touch with current happenings, the upcoming crusade is set to be explosive with lingering memory.
The world renowned revivalist would be hitting the shores of Lagos, precisely Sparklight Estate, Isheri Berger-venue of the crusade from the 8th to 12th November to unleash the power of God on the nation and liberate her from the present demonic forces eating up its socio-economic and spiritual potentials, the organisers of the crusade made known.
The crusade also tagged, ‘Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke’s Final Fire In Africa’ (FFA), is billed to be attended by huge number of people from Nigeria and neighbouring countries like Ghana, Cameroun, Togo, Benin, Mali, among others.
At 77, the Evangelist has it that he received a clear directive to go back to Lagos for just one more time after visiting it eight years ago. As such many believe the five-day spiritual event is going to be nothing short of spectacular.
Bonnke, Founder of Christ for all Nations (CfaN), established 35 years ago, in a video on face book assured that hell is going to be emptied with souls recovered for Christ.
“I will be back for a mighty gospel crusade in Lagos, Nigeria and I want to welcome you all. I call it my farewell crusade; it is going to be tremendously anointed and powerful. I believe many souls will be saved and will receive mighty miracles from God.
“While because it is my farewell crusade I am going to pass the burning touch that the Holy Spirit gave to me in my younger years. I will pass it on to all those that want to receive it and follow my footsteps across Nigeria, Africa and the world.
“I am sure God is with you as he was and is with me. And that hell will be emptied and heaven be full. The heavens will be open and the Holy Spirit will flow,” Bonnke announced.
However during the press conference to herald the programme, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola, the crusade Chairman, Central Working Committee as well as the Chairman of the Lagos Chapter of the Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN), made known that Bonnke’s coming is going to bring about healing for the country.
Bamgbola stated that: “The man of God has made it clear that the choice to stage a come-back to Nigeria in the final lap of his large-scale global evangelism outreach is God-ordained and will therefore be ‘explosive’.
“The last time he visited this great country was eight years ago and many today could attest to the glorious/divine work that God Almighty used him to do in the lives of Nigerians, only by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The gospel power of Jesus Christ saved souls and restored the backslidden; the lame walked, the blind had their eyes opened and the sick were quickened through the healing power of God.
“This time around, Evangelist Bonnke, led by God says there is healing for Nigeria, a country currently plagued by socio-economic corruption and spiritual pollution. He has said many times in the past, that this country has great potentials but being held down by demonic forces militating against it. The result is what we see as social vices that have held down economic growth. Inflation has remained high at double digit, just as unemployment ensures that more than 29 million employable youths remain jobless.”
Bamgbola therefore enjoined individuals to make themselves available for the historical programme.
Adding to Bamgbola and Bonnke’s words, Rev. John Darku, Africa Director of Christ For All Nation (CfAN), said the burning torch of evangelism will be passed to gospel ministers and the awaiting generation, while adding that plans of security, transportation and other logistics are in top gear.
“If we look around us, we will observe that there is a lot of despair, hopelessness, poverty, sickness, and souls that have no peace. It will take only God to restore peace to the hearts of the broken men and women that you see walking around.
“But God will also need men to help with the work of the great harvest of souls.
We must be poised, ready to take the baton from Evangelist Bonnke and work the work of our father…,” Draku submitted.
