The Manchester United Manager, Jose Mourinho has put blame on Six Players for the defeat the club had last night against newly promoted Brighton & Hove Albion.
He made this known during an after match interview with Sky Sports. There he said that those six changes he made cost United’s defeat and with this, the chances of this players to play FA cup final come May 19th should not be questioned.
Jose Mourinho felt bad while expressing the reasons he doesn’t like featuring some players and because they are in the team, he has to give them chance to play.
Anthony Martial and Rashford who were called into action due to injured Lukaku and Sanchez failed woefully to perform during the game by miss-using great opportunities they had to impress.
The poor performances of the duo – who were part of a lineup overhaul that included the appearances of Marcos Rojo, Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini, and Matteo Darmian – seemingly served to justify Mourinho’s decision to limit their involvement this season.
According to Jose Mourinho,
“I wouldn’t say (I’m) disappointed because I know (the players),” he said. “But I thought for some of them the possibility to start a game, the possibility to give reason to the ones during the season who (are) critical of my choices: ‘Why always Lukaku? Why always Lukaku? Why always Lukaku?’ You have the answer.”
Meanwhile before the FA cup final on the 19th of May, Manchester United has two games which is against West Ham and Watford.
