Mohamed Salah bags yet another award

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah has been named Liverpool’s player of the month for an impressive sixth time.

The Egyptian has been in spectacular form this season, scoring 39 goals in all competitions for the Reds to keep the English side in the top four in their domestic league and in contention to bag the coveted Champions League title.

Speaking to the club’s official website after bagging the award, the marksman said, “I’m very happy to win it again, but as I said many times the most important thing is to win the games and to get the points. I always try to score to help the team to get the points.”

The former Roma ace scored an awe-inspiring six goals in five matches in March including a quadruple against Watford and a late stunner against league rivals Crystal Palace – a fete the 25-year-old managed to achieve in the same month that the goal-getter suffered a groin injury during the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Manchester City.

Salah edged out fellow teammates Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Andy Robertson, who had also been nominated for last month’s edition of the award.
