Mohamed Salah was again in the headlines after helping Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 2-1 on Saturday 31st.
The Egyptian netted the winner with five minutes remaining against Roy Hodgson’s men equalling a record held by Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin van Persie. While handing Liverpool three points, it was also a huge milestone for Salah who became the third player in the Premier League history to score 21 goals in a 38-game campaign.
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo netted 31 goals in 34 appearances in Manchester United jersey in 2007/08 while Robin van Persie scored 26 goals in 38 appearances in 2012/13. However, Salah will be odds-on to make the record his own given the Egyptian has six more games to add to his tally and he’s likely to surpass the Manchester United duo.
