Liverpool have been given a boost in their chase of Dani Caballos after he told Real Madrid he wants a move to Anfield.
Ceballos, who penned a six-year deal with Real when he signed for the European champions for £14.5m last summer was trying to leave the Bernabeu in January to return to Real Betis.
Rated at £32m, the Spain Under-21 international has been extensively linked with a move to Anfield in recent months, having been frozen out at the Bernabeu by Real boss Zinedine Zidane.
AS claimed at the time that the contract contained a £440m release clause, proving how highly they valued his talent. But with his lack of game-time and having dropped down the pecking order, it’s thought they would accept less than 10 percent of that value to ship him out.
The 21-year-old has been limited to just 18 appearances for the Spanish giants this term and he is reportedly hugely frustrated by his lack of game time.
